We Produce Leaders Unlike Any Other School

We have built our entire school around the idea that our students will someday become leaders and they need to unique skills necessary to be successful in the 21st Century. Our curriculum produces leaders (and some pretty fantastic musicians, dancers, and artists, too), and we aren't shy about sharing our secret sauce...

Personalized Learning With 1:1 iPads
Students learn better when they are engaged, when we can monitor their progress multiple times per day, and when we can personalize their learning journey based on their own individual needs. Each student is assigned an iPad that we use to deliver personalized instruction and perform regular testing (we keep it fun, don't worry). This ensures that every student is seen and treated like an individual.
21st Century Leadership Skills
Creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration are the skills that colleges are looking for in students and companies are looking for in employees. Our unique curriculum is built from the ground up, using performing arts to foster exactly these skills, and our students will go on to be high-impact leaders.
School Uniforms
We believe that creativity comes from what's on the inside, not what's on the outside. So we require uniforms to promote learning, promote school unity and pride, to reduce peer pressure from clothing trends and styles.
Daily Performing Arts Instruction
Every student spends half of their day in performing arts classrooms receiving top-notch training by premier arts instructors. Classes include music (vocal and instrumental), dance, tumbling, theatre, and visual arts. This diversity in instruction allows students' minds to expand exponentially.
Two Community Performances
Parker Performing Arts School is proud to showcase our talented students in our school performances twice a year. All performances are held in our high-tech modern school theater and these performances sell out (we now provide eight shows for each performance... and we still need to add more). These performances are open to all students (audition and non-audition roles) and give your child a way to show off to the community.
S.H.I.N.E. Program
We leverage a unique school wide PBIS (positive behavioral interventions and supports) system to develop leadership qualities in our students, allowing students to earn "SHINE Bucks" for special prizes. A few examples of things our students get rewarded for might include helping a friend in need, being an active participant in learning, owning up to behaviors, or meeting and exceeding teacher expectations.

No Audition Required!

Parker Performing Arts is open to ALL K-8 students. We care more about the character of our students than we do their ability to play the trombone*.

*But we've found that things like playing the trombone instill leadership characteristics. (Now you know our secret!)

Discover Your Best Self

So what exactly do our students learn? We have found a way to make our core academics more effective by leveraging a 1:1 iPad environment -- each student gets personalized instruction and constant monitoring, so we catch and fix errors quickly. This frees us up to spend half of every day on performing arts.

Please, Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves

We certainly hope you are as excited about developing your child into a unique leader as we are. And we'd love to meet you in person very soon (if you're ready, please fill out the non-binding Intent to Enroll form and we'll be in touch to schedule a private tour). Until then, we'd like to tell you a little about Parker Performing Arts and how we got started.

We Opened in 2016

The school was founded by a small group of parents that valued the arts in education, technology, and wanted an experience for children which values academic rigor and opportunity for individualized learning.

We Serve 700+ Diverse Students

We serve a diverse student body. Some students come from musical families, and others don't. Some students are coordinated, and others have two left feet. Some students are ahead of grade level, and others are on EAPs. And we are proud of our students across all socio-economic statuses.

We Are Elementary + Middle School

We serve K-8 students currently. By housing elementary and middle school students under the same roof (albeit, largely separated by a floor), we find that our middle school students naturally step into the role of mature leaders and our elementary students have lots of great role models to look up to.

Future Expansion to High School

We are actively exploring the addition of a Parker Performing Arts High School to our community (to be housed in a separate building). If you are interested in enrolling in the eventual high school, please fill out this separate non-binding High School Intent to Enroll form.

Easily Accessible Off I-25 / E-470

We are centrally located for all South Denver families, and our students come from as far away as Colorado Springs.

5 minutes from I-25 / E-470
8 minutes from Southlands Mall in Aurora
10 minutes from Denver Tech Center
14 minutes from north Castle Rock
24 minutes from Ken Caryl

We Require Our Parents to Volunteer

We have top-tier faculty and staff, but there is no way we could invest the way we do in technology, innovation, and the arts without LOTS of parents helping us out. Every household is required to volunteer 30 hours per year -- on committees, on drive-line, in classrooms, in the lunchroom, on the playground, on field trips, in the halls, or elsewhere.

We Are So Excited For Your Family to Join Ours in 2020-2021!
